As we start another season of Boone Crew, we gear up for the hard work, challenges, friendship, fun, and satisfaction that commitment to a Team can bring. Boone Crew competes against other local teams, regional teams, state teams, and against national teams. So, we challenge all Boone students (including athletes of other disciplines) to come and be apart of our team, our Boone Crew Team. Learn what it’s like to be out on the water with a great group of people, getting in your best athletic shape, while competing at the highest levels of sport.

Are we still accepting new rowers into the program?
Yes. We have 2 major seasons, the fall seasons which begins after the start of the new school year and goes through the first week of December, and the spring season that starts up in January. Fall races are different from the spring in that they are 5000-6000 meters against the clock, where in the spring we race 6 boats Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and in the weight room on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Do I need any background in this sport to become competitive in my first year?
No. Our coaches' training program will have you competitive in short order.
Are the workouts and regattas hard work?
Crew is a sport of Body, Mind, and Spirit. Physically it is exhilarating and exhausting, mentally it's challenging and rewarding, and it will undoubtedly lift and bolster your spirit through accomplishment attained and friendships made.
Will working out with Crew get me into shape?
The sport of rowing produces athletes of the highest caliber. Strength, endurance, and overall fitness are hallmarks of this sport's athletic conditioning.
How do I get started?
You can contact any of our board members or coaches by email, or talk to one of our rowers, to get started.
